As many of you know I am working on an industrial project on a brownfield outside of Pittsburgh.
The goal is over the next three years to take an underutilized 260K square foot steel mill building with six gantry cranes and build a world class regional rail terminal in Aliquippa.
That is the goal.
The Vision is to enhance economic opportunity for the owner, the employees, their families, Aliquippa, Ambridge and the surrounding communities. Opportunity still viable and relevant 50 years from now.
It is impossible for many people to fully appreciate the legacy of the mill and the impact of its shuttering on the communities built around it. They blame #unions, laziness or “those” people.
The truth is more complicated and personal.
Here is piece of the story.
